GFWC Signature Project:  Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention

Prevent Child Abuse America the leading national, not-for-profit organization whose mission is to increase awareness and to prevent the abuse and neglect to our nation’s children.

Currently we give birthday bags to children in the domestic assault shelters, donate used cell phones for use by women in abuse situations, donate funds to GFWC Survivor’s Scholarship Fund, donate clothing to Aid to Victims of Domestic Assault and purchase Pinwheels  to participate in “Prevent Child Abuse in America’s Pinwheels for Prevention” campaign.

GFWC Florida President’s Project:  Boggy Creek

GFWC Florida President, Linda O’Toole, has chosen Boggy Creek for her two year project.  Since 1996, Camp Boggy Creek has made it possible for children with serious illnesses, to enjoy a camp experience in a safe, medically-sound environment.  Boggy Creek is located north of Orlando, Florida.  They have 232 acre camp and serves children from ages 7-16.  As a year-round retreat, Camp Boggy Creek, is able to serve thousands of campers and their families through activity-packed weekly and weekend camp programs.  The camp offers fishing, horse back riding, and many other activities.
